During your consultation at Skin Exquisite you technician will decide which options are going to be most beneficial to you. Most treatments will be performed in under 30minutes and depending on your goals you may need up to three treatments.

The benefits of the ExcelV+ is that it delivers clinically proven results on a wide range of skin concerns. The treatments are mostly comfortable and fast. In saying that the treatment feels like the quick snap of a rubber band flicking against the skin. Depending on the procedure a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort to the area being treated.

Downtime? Typically, you will be able to put makeup on and return to normal activities immediately. Redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment. For full face treatments swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post treatment and usually resolves within a few days. Treated brown spots will darken and slough off within 3 to 5 days.

Hair Reduction Laser

Hair reduction is a safe and effective way to reduce unwanted body and facial hair. Treatments are most effective on medium to dark hair on fair to medium skin types while blonde, red, white and grey hair cannot be treated.

Laser treatments reduce the growth capacity of hair follicles when they are in the active growth stage. Because hair follicles are not all active at the same time, several treatments, every few weeks, may be necessary to obtain the desired result.

Most patients experience a marked reduction in hair growth in 5 to 8 treatments, although results vary.

Additionally, other factors such as hair density, age and hormones can affect the outcome of your treatments.

The Treatment

Your skin cells are stimulated with a precisely controlled energy source. This triggers your skin cells to renew themselves, producing quantities of the chemical that gave your skin its youthful elasticity & fullness. Your body replaces the damaged skin cells with new, healthy cells. The result is younger,
firmer clearer looking skin. Whether you need a more even skin tone, smoothing of superficial lines, firming or all three, The Fraxis CO2 can turn back the clock for your skin.

The Fraxis CO2 rejuvenation treatments require only mild discomfort. You may experience a prickling sensation as the skin tissue is heated. A topical anaesthetic is applied to the target area prior to treatment in some cases. The Operator will move the laser handpiece over the treatment area. Tiny dots of
laser will be scattered through sections of healthy, untouched skin to stimulate the tissues regenerative processes.

The condition of your skin will determine the number of treatments you will need, between one and three is the average amount.

You will see improvement in one week, but your skin will continue to renew itself and can actually look even better within the months that follow your treatment. For this reason, repeat treatments should be spaced 6-8 weeks apart.

While everyone’s skin is different, clinical studies suggest for most people, maximum results can be realised in just 3 to 5 sessions. They are usually spaced 2 to 6 weeks apart

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

This is one of the worlds most advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser technologies which uses a combination of IPL and RF (Radio Frequency) that is not only highly effective but very safe.

The Skin Rejuvenation Advance (SRA) delivers a broad range of wavelengths to the skin allowing for a number of skin conditions to be treated, working in two ways. The first is for darker pigmentation, in which the laser is attracted to the discolouration and draws it up and eventually out of the skin. The
second is for any unwanted redness. In this case the laser is attracted to the haemoglobin and heats the small veins until they retreat back into the skin.
The heat that is delivered will also stimulate the skin cells to regenerate new collagen, improving skin tone and texture. This along with the removal of visible vessels and pigmented areas, leads to a smoother, vibrant and younger looking skin.

SRA treatments can be performed on any area of the body with the focus being areas that are exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight. Other than the face, common target areas are the neck, décolletage, shoulders, arms and hands.

During the procedure clients can feel a heat sensation that varies with the area and energy setting though it is minor due to the sapphire cooling tip which also adds to the safety and effectiveness of the treatment. There may be a mild sunburnt feeling afterwards with some patchy pink areas or redness and
no downtime is needed so normal activities can be resumed immediately.

As the SRA is a colour correction procedure it is important to avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks prior to the treatment for optimal results.
During your consultation we will establish a treatment plan, including test patches, to best suit your individual needs and concerns. While great improvement is seen from one session generally 3 treatments are required to achieve optimal results.

A healthy glow is seen immediately after the first treatment with the pigmented areas becoming progressively darker until it eventually exfoliates away.
A gradual and cumulative improvement of skin tone and texture is achieved with the darkest pigment being targeted first before any redness can be reduced.

The SRA can also improve fine lines and wrinkles and is a useful tool against acne as the laser can kill bacteria that leads to severe outbreaks.
